European Treasure Chest

The European Treasure Chest (Country books, General European books and leaflets, Flags, CDRoms, Puzzles, Maps and Posters) has been compiled following receipt of a grant from the European Parliament. It is available on loan to schools in Plymouth.

Japanese Treasure Chest

The Japanese Treasure Chest has been put together to assist schools in learning about Japan. The Chest contains games, educational items, traditional dress and much more. It is available on loan to schools in Plymouth.

Ghanaian Resources

There are resources on Ghana available to borrow from the Plymouth Professional Development Centre, Southway.  The resources available include a Ghana Workshop & Artefacts and 'Day in the Life' of a Ghanaian Child.

Global Resource Centre

The Global Resource Centre has a range of teaching and learning resources. These can be viewed at the Plymouth Professional Development Centre, Southway before purchase and some are available to take out on loan.

European Business Consultant

Sabina Rademacher has run workshops on Cultural Awareness in Business for DHSG students involved in the project Passport to Export which we have involved in for the last three years.  The students work in teams of 3 to set up a business designing a product for the German market.  After a series of workshops they present their product at an evening event via a video link to a panel of judges in the British Consulate in Düsseldorf and the whole event is supported and sponsored by  UK Trade and Investment (UKTI). 50 Ideas for International Projects

These ideas have come from all over Europe and have been contributed mainly by those involved in Comenius School Projects, but some could also be adapted for use by those wishing to participate in Global Schools projects with partners in developing countries or for those wanting to embark on E-Twinning activities.

They range from simple, tried and tusted activities, requiring limited preparation, to truly collaborative ones designed to maximise pupil involvement and interest. It should be remembered that in some of the best projects, it is the pupil themselves who decide upon and lead the activities
